Cynic comic Doug Stanhope is releasing a new comedy special later this month. The forthcoming hour-long Comedians’ Comedian’s Comedians will hit the all-things-comedy streaming service Seeso this June.
Doug Stanhope: Comedians’ Comedian’s Comedians was taped on March 14 at Esther’s Follies theater during this year’s South by Southwest in Austin, TX. The evening “Doug Stanhope and Friends,” and the subsequent special, see Stanhope taking the stage along with a few fellow comedians — Glenn Wool, Brendon Walsh and Morgan Murphy — for a night of stand-up that SXSW assures “will certainly not be for the easily offended.”
Comedians’ Comedian’s Comedians is Stanhope’s followup to last year’s Johnny Depp-produced No Place Like Home, which premiered on Seeso in September. Brian Hennigan, who helmed the comedian’s 2016 effort, will reprise his role as director for Stanhope’s latest.
Doug Stanhope: Comedians’ Comedian’s Comedians, produced by Comedy Dynamics, makes its debut on Seeso on June 22.
