Delmark Blues & Jazz All-Stars to perform a Holiday Concert at Thalia Hall 12/20

When the fine folks from Delmark say all-stars they mean all-stars.

Mud Morganfield, Jimmy Burns, Demetria Taylor and many more are set to perform at the Delmark Blues & Jazz All-Stars Holiday Concert taking place at Thalia Hall in Chicago on Dec. 20. Along with being a festive addition to the seasonal calendar, this special event also represents the continued celebration of Delmark Records’ 70th anniversary.

The label, founded in 1953 by Bob Koester and currently owned by Julia A. Miller, is the oldest continuously operating blues and jazz label in the world.

Along with the above mentioned musicians, the holiday concert will also feature appearances by Sheryl Youngblood, Carlise and Greg Guy, Dave Specter, Mike Wheeler, and many more as The Delmark All-Star Blues Band, The Soul Message Band and a slew of featured artists will perform on the Thalia Hall Stage all night long. Tickets are available now for the 17 and over, 8 p.m. start Dec. 20 show.
