On June 5, Delmark Records is presenting a special evening of music that will showcase modern blues legends including Sheryl Youngblood, Melody Angel, Demetria Taylor, and more. The performance, entitled Red Hot & Blues Women in Chicago, is a pre-event to the Chicago Blues Festival – which takes place June 6 – 9 – and aims to bring the legendary Chicago Blues venue Blue Chicago onto the Harris Theater stage through song and visuals.
Tickets go on sale at noon CT on Tuesday, April 2 and VIP tickets – which include a premium seat and admission into a pre-show reception with the artists (hosted by the Recording Academy) – are also available.
Joanna Connor, Carlise Guy, and Sharon Lewis – who will perform her song “Chicago Woman” – will also take the stage.
