Los Angeles-based comedian Emily Catalano is set to drop her debut comedy album, Hey, via Blonde Medicine on June 28.
The album, which was recorded live at the San Francisco Punch Line, highlights the comedian’s laid-back demeanor and distinct writing style. Growing up as a tomboy with brothers and revealing that she is agnostic to her religious parents are just a few of the personal topics which Catalano mines for hilarity throughout the release.
My debut album serves as a compilation of my best material to date, drawing from my experiences with marriage, divorce, dating, and religion,” said Catalano in a statement. “It’s densely packed with jokes rooted in my personal life. Think of it as a therapy session, but with more laughs and less co-pays.”
