Tim Heidecker

Multi-hyphenate singer-songwriter/comedian, Tim Heidecker has announced that his highly-anticipated follow up album to 2022’s High School is coming soon. Slipping Away is set to be released via Bloodshot Records on Oct. 18 and the lead single/video “Well’s Running Dry” is available now.

The video begins with Heidecker exploring elements of the guitar and rhythm before his frequent collaborators in The Very Good Band add their own flare to the composition. With the honest and relatable lyricism that Heidecker has become known for “Well’s Running Dry” evolves into a beautiful ode to aging and the strength that comes from getting a little help from your friends.

As soon as I wrote that, I worried that it’s not cool to talk about,” Heidecker said of “Well’s Running Dry” in a statement. “But a second later, I thought—well that’s challenging and exciting. Let’s push past that.”

The Very Good Band is comprised of Eliana Athayde on bass, vocals and additional production; Josh Adams on drums; Vic Berger on keys; and Connor “Catfish” Gallaher on guitar and pedal steel. The album also features a contribution from Tim’s daughter Amelia.

In other news, Tim Heidecker & The Very Good Band will support Waxahatchee on a Summer East Coast Tour and they will also be performing a few additional dates with Snail Mail.
