Lollapalooza takes over Grant Park in Chicago on Aug. 1 – 4, but the pre-parties have already begun. D4vd – the 19-year-old singer/songwriter who has previously opened for Lolla headliner SZA on her S.O.S. Tour – kicked-off a week of festival fun with a star-making Official Lollapalooza Aftershow at Metro on July, 30.
The genre-bending visionary artist used the bulk of his time to share tracks from his debut ep Petals to Thorns, which was released via Darkroom/Interscope in 2023. His viral hit “Romantic Homicide” had the whole venue submerged in a dreamy atmosphere as did his soulful, remorseful single “My House Is Not A Home.”
Don’t fret if you missed D4vd’s aftershow as he is scheduled to perform on the Tito’s Handmade Vodka Stage at Lollapalooza at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1.
