A new event, hosted by SPACE Presents, will be celebrating the best of folk music. Taking place at Dawes Park Lakefront on Sept. 7-8, the Evanston Folk Festival will feature a musical lineup of over 30 artists including headliners Sierra Ferrell and Patty Griffin, along with Hiss Golden Messenger (solo), Katie Gavin, Sarah Jarosz, Madi Diaz, and many more.
The festival’s Conversation Tent will host a variety of panel discussions, speakers, and interviews with the likes of Jeff Tweedy, Ann Powers, and Greg Kot, among others. There are also several aftershows that have been announced including a performance by Rufus Wainwright at Cahn Auditorium on Sept. 7 and a concert by Langhorne Slim at SPACE on Sept. 8
