Last year, Bright Eyes generated a lot of buzz with the release of their tenth studio album, Five Dice, All Threes via Dead Oceans. The new songs are full of emotion and several guest artists, including Cat Power, The National‘s Matt Berninger and Alex Orange Drink of The So So Glos, are featured on the tracklist.
Of “All Threes” Oberst said in a statement, “We wanted this song to have some space – and let the piano part have room to stand out and feel special. Something about the mood of it just made me think of Chan [Marshall of Cat Power]. ”
In support of the album, Bright Eyes – comprised of Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott – are hitting the road for a slew of tour dates that began earlier this year. St. Louis, Toronto, Philadelphia, and other great cities are on the band’s itinerary. There is a Chicago performance set to take place at The Salt Shed on April 5 and the North American leg of the tour will conclude at The Astro in La Vista, NE on April 27.
