Will Arnett’s comedy series Flaked just got its Season 2 premiere date. The slacker sitcom of sorts returns to Netflix on June 2 with the series tagline “Backpedaling just got harder.”
Flaked Season 2 will see Chip (Arnett) returning to Venice after a “short exile” only to find the community no longer accepts him. He’s lost everything: his store, his friends, his reputation and even his bicycle and, to top things off, he no longer has the guest house to live in. Even London (Ruth Kearney) is beginning to look elsewhere… spiritually and potentially even physically.
Throughout the show’s second season, Chip will ultimately begin to claw his way back into the community. He takes Dennis (David Sullivan) up as his sponsor, helps his friend with a new business venture and even begins taking on an honest day’s work. But, with things looking bright, it isn’t long before he begins slipping back into his old alcohol-drenched ways thus prompting, as Netflix puts it, some difficult choices: “His best friend or the love of his life. Lies or sobriety.”
Flaked is created by Arnett and Mark Chappell and exec-produced by the duo, along with Ben Silverman, Peter Principato and Mitch Hurwitz. Binge-watch Season 1 on Netflix now.
