Season 3 of the Ellie Kemper-led series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is nearly upon us. With a premiere date of May 19, we now have a trailer featuring a hilarious homage to Beyonce’s Lemonade by fan favorite Titus Andromedon (Tituss Burgess) to help get us ready for the bizarrely lovable half-hour Netflix comedy.
The Season 3 trailer of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (seen above) is packed with comedic promise. In the new trailer we are teased with storylines involving college, counterfeiting, divorce and revenge. We are also treated to appearances by series regulars Carol Kane, who plays Kimmy’s landlord Lillian Kaushtupper, Jon Hamm (Richard Wayne Gary Wayne), Jane Krakowski (Jacqueline White) and more.
Relationships appear to be at the center of the series’ new season as Kimmy is seen signing sexual consent forms with a potential suitor while, earlier in the trailer, Lillian attempts to recover from a bad breakup with Robert “Bobby” Durst (Fred Armisen). Titus clearly has some issues of his own as he takes a bat to Mikey Politano’s (Mike Carlsen) truck during an instant-classic parody of Beyoncé from her Lemonade track “Hold Up.”
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt promises a host of guest appearances in Season 3. Anna Camp, Josh Charles, David Cross, Mike Carlsen, Amy Sedaris and the show’s co-creator Tina Fey will return while Laura Dern, Ray Liotta, Andrea Martin, Rachel Dratch and Maya Rudolph will make their debuts.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is set to premiere on May 19 on Netflix.
