The David Lynch Foundation will soon play host to a star-studded benefit event in our nation’s capital. The “National Night of Laughter & Song,” taking place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., on Monday, June 5th, will feature top comedic talent including Jerry Seinfeld, Margaret Cho and Jay Leno among others.
The David Lynch Foundation is a nonprofit organization that began in 2005 with the goal of teaching Transcendental Meditation to at-risk populations around the world. Since its inception, the DLF has helped more than 500,000 children and adults, primarily focusing on inner-city students, PTSD-suffering veterans and survivors of abuse. Proceeds from the “National Night of Laughter & Song” event in June will support the foundation’s goal of teaching meditation to 10,000 veterans and at-risk youth in the Washington, D.C. area.
The “National Night of Laughter & Song” will be co-hosted by Hugh Jackman & wife Deborra-lee Furness, along with Katie Couric. Joining Seinfeld, Leno and Cho on the benefit’s bill are musical talent Ben Folds, Angélique Kidjo, Sharon Isbin and Kesha.
Tickets for the “National Night of Laughter & Song” start at $69. There are also Premier and Sponsorship Ticket Packages available, which include pre-event dinner inclusion, VIP box options, after-party festivities and more.
