Stand-up comedy specials premiering in June 2017

Stand-up comedy specials June 2017

With June, come the first, and long-awaited, days of summer. This June, however, also brings with it a handful of comedy specials, from straight ahead stand-up to schticky Broadway plays. Though not quite as abundant as previous months’ offerings, the select handful of eclectic specials arriving next month certainly still vows to bring the laughs.

Getting things started is Chicago comedian and I’m Dying Up Here co-star Andrew Santino, debuting his special Home Field Advantage June 2 on Showtime. Nick Kroll and John Mulaney will follow with the debut of their hit stage show Oh, Hello on Broadway, which streams on Netflix beginning June 13.

T.J. Miller, who HBO recently revealed will not return for Season 5 of Silicon Valley, will bring his highly-anticipated hour-long Meticulously Ridiculous to the same network on June 17. Just a few short days later, Netflix will add Rory Scovel’s second special (his first for the streaming platform) — Rory Scovel Tries Stand Up For The First Time — to its VOD offering.

Rounding out June 2017 is Undateable star Chris D’Elia’s latest special, Man On Fire — filmed at The Vogue Theatre during JFL Northwest in Vancouver — which premieres on Netflix June 27.

Not long ago, Netflix announced its plans to release a new comedy special every week for the remainder of 2017, which means we may still see something announced for the first Tuesday in June. We’ll continue to update our list if future specials are announced.
