Farm Aid has announced its lineup for 2017 and it includes all the usual suspects and more. Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews will all return for this year’s rendition of the single-day festival, which is set to take place at the KeyBank Pavilion in Burgettstown, PA on September 16.
Joining the above-mentioned Farm Aid board members are several of the organization’s frequent performers including Jack Johnson, Tim Reynolds — who will perform a set with Matthews — Jamey Johnson, Insects vs Robots and Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real. Sheryl Crow, The Avett Brothers, Blackberry Smoke and Valerie June will also perform sets at this year’s festival.
As with previous years, Farm Aid will offer a plethora of local and organic food options through its HOMEGROWN Concessions, which will be on-hand at the festival, offering attendees a chance to meet farmers, engage in hands-on food and farm activities, learn how to enrich our soil, protect our water and grow our economy.
Farm Aid began back in 1985 and has since gathered annually to host top-tier events with great food and even greater music. Since its inception, Farm Aid has inspired millions of people to take part in the good food movement, while also raising over $50 million to help family farmers thrive across The United States.
Tickets for the 2017 Farm Aid festival event will go on sale to the public on Friday, June 23 at 10 a.m. EDT. A presale, however, will open up on Wednesday, June 14 at noon EDT. For more information and to pick up tickets, please visit the official Farm Aid website.
