Trey Anastasio Band announced earlier this week they will be hitting the road in 2017 in support of the Phish guitarist and singer’s most recent solo album Paper Wheels. The forthcoming Paper Wheels Tour will see the group making a number stops in cities across the U.S. as well as heading north of the border for a show in Toronto.
TAB is slated to kick things off with a two-night run at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY on April 14 & 15. Throughout the remainder of the month, the group will make stops at The Fillmore in Charlotte, The House of Blues in Houston and the Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater in Austin, TX. May dates include shows in Tulsa, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, the aforementioned Toronto and Morrison, Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater — the lattermost with Vulfpeck. The band is expected to close things out on June 3 with a show at Big Sky Brewery in Missoula, MT.
Amongst the slew of Spring Tour dates are a pair of highly-anticipated TAB festival performances. Anastasio and company are confirmed to play two sets at the Atlanta-based Sweetwater 420 Festival (also featuring performances by Widespread Panic, Ween and Slightly Stoopid) on April 21. They are also expected to appear at the 2017 rendition of Wanee Festival in Live Oak, Florida (likely on April 22) but this is not yet officially confirmed.
As reported by Jambase, Wanee released their lineup on Wednesday of this week — with toppers TAB, Bob Weir & The Campfire Boys, the above-mentioned Widespread Panic and Gov’t Mule — but have since taken down the post, promising an official drop on Dec. 5.
Tickets for Trey Anastasio Band’s 2017 Spring Tour are available during the pre-sale, which runs from now until Wednesday, Dec. 7. For more information, visit the official TAB site.
