With Bonnaroo 2017 now on the books it’s time to start looking ahead. That said, the festival, which takes place every year in Manchester, TN., has just announced its dates for next year’s event, June 7-10, 2018.
Bonnaroo 2017, which concluded this past Sunday, went off without a hitch. Boasting headliners U2, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Weeknd, the festival also managed to increase its attendance from 45,537 (2017) to 65,000 — in other words, an increase of roughly just under 20,000.
The 2017 rendition of Bonnaroo also included performances by Chance The Rapper, Flume, The XX, Major Lazer, Lorde, Cage The Elephant, Marshmello, The Head and The Heart, Umphrey’s McGee, Future Islands, Crystal Castles, Cold War Kids, Portugal. The Man, Tegan & Sara, Warpaint, Francis and the Lights and many more.
The comedy tent hosted a lineup which included Hannibal Buress, Natasha Leggero, Moshe Kasher, 2 Dope Queens, Kyle Kinane, Hari Kondabolu, Mike Lawrence Jo Firestone among others. The cinema tent also got in on the comedy this year, offering fans a handful of one-off events including Adam Scott and Scott Aukerman’s live taping of their popular podcast U Talkin’ U2 To Me and screenings of Napoleon Dynamite with Q&A by Jon Heder and Pootie Tang with Lance Crouther.
