The inaugural ID10T Music Festival + Comic Conival is almost upon us. Taking place at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA. on June 24-25 and boasting an impressive lineup made up of live music, stand-up comedy, panels, comic books, cosplay, live podcasts and more, the fest is likely to be one of the best of its kind. That said, here are our top five comedy acts to see at this year’s ID10T (I-D-ten-T, not idiot) Fest.
Michael Ian Black
Noted Expert Michael Ian Black is among one of the funniest comedians in the business. Whether performing his duties as the creepy uptight butler Peepers on Another Period or goofing off at Camp Firewood in Wet Hot American Summer — the next installment 10 Years Later returns sometime later this year — Black always brings the laughs. If you haven’t yet seen him perform stand-up this year, be sure to catch him on Saturday, June 24 at ID10T Fest as his set is sure to be one of the highlights of the weekend.
Nikki Glaser
From verbally assaulting Rob Lowe in his Comedy Central Roast to dessert consoling with her friends in Inside Amy Schumer to talking all things sex on her comedy talk show Not Safe with Nikki Glaser on Comedy Central, Nikki Glaser is quickly becoming a comedy fan favorite. She released an hour-long special Perfect last year and can currently be seen on one of her many tour dates spanning throughout September. Catch her set on Saturday, June 25 at the Monster Energy Drink Comedy Tent at this year’s ID10T Fest. You won’t be disappointed.
Portlandia
Fans of Portlandia can rejoice as Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein will be on-hand for an ID10T Festival-exclusive panel on Sunday, June 25. The duo behind IFC’s beloved eccentric sketch comedy show, which will return for its eighth and final season in 2018, will be joined by ID10T Fest founder and panel moderator Chris Hardwick.
Michael Che
Michael Che of Saturday Night Live “Weekend Update” fame will be at the first ever ID10T Music Festival + Comic Conival in Silicon Valley. The comedian recently tackled guns, racism, religion, homophobia and more in his hour-long comedy special Michael Che Matters, which hit Netflix late last year. Now, see the SNL vet and former Daily Show correspondent as he performs stand-up live at the Monster Energy Drink Comedy Tent on Sunday, June 25.
Jonah Ray
You may have seen him on The Nerdist back in 2013, Seeso’s new parody travel show Hidden America with Jonah Ray or in the recent return of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K) on Netflix, but now you can see him live at the inaugural ID10T Fest. Ray is not only scheduled to perform stand-up at the Monster Energy Drink Comedy Tent on Saturday, June 24, he is also slated to appear on a panel the same day with his MST3K co-stars Hampton Yount (Crow T. Robot), Rebecca Hanson (Gypsy), the show’s writer and composer Paul Sabourin and Wil Wheaton, who will be there to moderate the discussion.
ID10T Festival will also feature live music sets by Weezer, TV On The Radio, Crystal Castles and more, comedy by Demetri Martin, Greg Proops, Garfunkel & Oates among others and a healthy dose of festival founder Chris Hardwick, who will be on the grounds to introduce artists and moderate select panels.
