Showtime has released a teaser trailer for Tiffany Haddish’s new stand-up special She Ready! From the Hood to Hollywood. Watch as the comedian talks black unicorns, ratchet poses and more in the above clip.
She Ready! was taped at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, CA and marks Haddish’s hour-long debut. The special, which Showtime announced late last month, promises to bring the laughs as Haddish incorporates bits centered on her childhood, revenge on ex-boyfriends and a time when she enlightened her friends Will and Jada Pinkett Smith.
Haddish’s forthcoming comedy special follows a handful of other select hour-longs recently airing on Showtime. Al Madrigal’s Shrimpin’ Ain’t Easy debuted on the network back in May, prior to the June premiere of Andrew Santino’s Home Field Advantage and Erik Griffin’s The Ugly Truth, which dropped July 7.
She Ready! From the Hood to Hollywood was directed by Chris Robinson. It premieres on Showtime on Aug. 18 at 9 p.m.
