Tig Notaro is set to return to the American south in season two of her critically-acclaimed Amazon TV series, One Mississippi, which premieres on Sept. 8. In a new trailer, the comedian explores the meaning of the word ‘love’ when it comes to family, romantic relationship and society’s soul.
The trailer finds Tig (Tig Notaro ) cohabitating with her stepfather, Bill, (John Rothman) and her brother, Remy, (Noah Harpster) down in Mississippi. All of the family members experience new relationships while testing the limits of their own familial bonds. Tig also pursues her radio career in Biloxi with the support of her producer, Kate, who is played by Notaro’s real-life wife, Stephanie Allynne.
Along with gearing up for the season two premiere of One Mississippi, Notaro also has several live performances on her calendar. She will be performing at Largo in Los Angeles – the site where her legendary 2012 album, Live, was recorded – on Sept. 1 before heading to Key West and Washington, DC later in the year.
