Maria Bamford‘s quirky semi-autobiographical comedy series Lady Dynamite is officially coming back to Netflix on Nov. 10. The news comes via a brief teaser trailer from the VOD streaming giant, which can be viewed above.
According to the official press release, Season 2 of Lady Dynamite will find Maria embarking on “her greatest adventure ever — love.” The new season will see her take up employment with a streaming service that just might be owned by Tesla founder Elon Musk while she also attempts to navigate her new relationship status with family friends and, of course, pugs.
Lady Dynamite was promptly renewed only months after its debut on Netflix back in May of 2016. Though the subsequent radio silence was a bit discomforting, fans can now rest easy knowing the surreal comedy show will return for eight new episodes.
Lady Dynamite, co-starring Ana Gasteyer (Karen Grisham), Fred Melamed (Bruce Ben Bacharach), Mary Kay Place and Ed Begley, Jr. (Marilyn and Joel Bamford), Mo Collins (Susan) and Olafur Darri Olafsson (Scott), was created by Pam Brady and Mitch Hurwitz, who exec-produce the series alongside Bamford.
Catch up with the series by binge-watching Season 1 on Netflix now and while you’re at it check out Bamford’s form-bending comedy special Old Baby, which debuted on the service back in May.
