Tricks and treats are always in ample supply on Halloween, but this year will also feature a scary amount of funny. Judah Friedlander is set to release his new special, America Is the Greatest Country in the United States, on Netflix this All Hallows’ Eve. The comedian recently gave fans a sneak peak at the show – taped in black & white – with a quick trailer (watch it below) that promises jokes about everything surrounding American exceptionalism.
“I do a lot of charity work. Anyone else,” the comedian asks at the top of the clip to which the crowd answers with silence. His response of “You seem like great people” is instantly met with a wave of contagious laughter that promises an engaging and interactive 84-minutes of comedy. He goes on to share his thoughts on some of the most important topics of today – education, climate change, racial injustice, war – with that dry wit that has made Friedlander famous.
With America Is the Greatest Country in the United States, Friedlander is joining the impressive list of comedians who teamed-up with the streaming service in 2017 including Jerry Seinfeld, Patton Oswalt, Maria Bamford and many more. Brian Regan also has a new Netflix special premiering soon as his latest hour, Nunchucks and Flamethrowers, has been given a Nov. 21 release date.
This is a busy month for Friedlander. Along with his new stand-up special dropping this October, his latest book of drawing, If the Raindrops United, just hit stores on Oct. 20.
