Showtime has just announced its next comedy special, Lavell Crawford: Home For The Holidays. The new hour-long will premiere on the premium network this November.
Crawford’s Home For The Holidays was taped at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO (Crawford’s hometown) on Aug. 12, 2017. In the resulting special, the comedian and 2007 Last Comic Standing contestant will pull laughs (as the title suggests) from holidays, riffing on everything from the guilt felt on Mother’s Day to experiencing Christmas as a child to BBQs on the Fourth of July. There are jokes about Easter, Thanksgiving, Black Friday and, as seen in the above trailer, Halloween aka “Trick or Treat.”
Aside from performing stand-up comedy, Crawford has also appeared in a handful of well-known television shows including Workaholics, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, New Girl, Breaking Bad and its spin-off Better Call Saul.
Crawford’s Home For The Holidays is the followup to his 2011 special Can A Brother Get Some Love. The new special, which clocks in at 60 minutes sharp, was written by Crawford and directed by Brian Volk-Weiss. It debuts on Nov. 3 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Showtime.
