By now you’ve probably heard Norm Macdonald will be hosting a new series on Netflix. Well, more details have just surfaced, among them the show’s eclectic list of guest stars, which include fellow Saturday Night Live alum Chevy Chase, horror film director M. Night Shyamalan, Judge Judy Sheindlin and many more.
If the above-mentioned trio of guests confirms anything, it’s that Macdonald’s new talk show will offer viewers wide-ranging discussions with a broad spectrum of personalities in the world of entertainment. Among the other stars set to appear in Season 1 are Drew Barrymore, Michael Keaton, David Spade, Jane Fonda, Billy Joe Shaver and Macdonald’s former SNL boss Lorne Michaels. David Letterman, who is credited as the show’s “location scout,” will also make an appearance.
This isn’t Macdonald’s first brush with Netflix. The comedian released his exceptionally funny hour-long special, Hitler’s Dog, Gossip & Trickery, on the streaming service back in May of 2017. He also made a recent appearance on the Crackle-turned-Netflix series Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee for a brief but hilarious chat with fellow comic and show host Jerry Seinfeld.
As well as revealing the guest list for Macdonald’s new series, Netflix has also confirmed the show’s title — Norm Macdonald Has A Show. The series’ first season, which will consist of 10 episodes, is slated to debut exclusively on the streaming service on Sept. 14.
