Thom Yorke has released another song from the soundtrack to Luca Guadagnino’s soon-to-be-released remake of Suspiria, starring Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Dakota Johnson and Chloë Grace Moretz. The eerie new track, “Has Ended,” set to the animated video by Ruff Mercy, can be heard in the video below.
Just like the soundtrack’s previously-released “Suspirium,” “Has Ended” is “more song than score.” The latest track, which features Yorke on vocals and his son Noah on the drums, has a hypnotic and experimental sound that will leave listeners spellbound.
Suspiria’s soundtrack will feature 25 original compositions, promising “a mix of instrumental score work, interstitial pieces and interludes, and more traditional song structures [like the aforementioned pair] featuring Thom’s vocals.” It will be made available on digital platforms as well as physically via a double CD and 2-LP gatefold with pink vinyl.
Yorke’s Suspiria soundtrack is slated for release on Oct. 26 on HL Recordings, the same day Guadagnino’s remake hits theaters. Yorke will likewise hit the road in November with longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich and visual artist Tarik Barri for a slew of solo U.S. tour dates.
