Comedian, actor and writer Matt Braunger has just announced the release of his new special Finally Live In Portland. The multi-talented comic’s latest will make its debut via Comedy Dynamics this February.
Finally Live In Portland marks Braunger’s third comedy special to date. The new hour-long, which was filmed across two nights at The Paris during the 10th Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, follows the comedian’s 2015 special Big Dumb Animal.
Finally Live In Portland aka FLIP sees Braunger riffing a range of topics including naked old men, Girl Scouts (aka the Green Mafia), drunk Nazis, anal surgery, overindulging on hallucinogens and much more.
“This is my best special yet, and I got to shoot it in my hometown in front of my parents and embarrass them as a bonus,β said Braunger in a statement. βAll the stories are true, from the dumb tattoo I got at 19 to the butt surgery to the overindulgence in magic mushrooms with my now-wife. FLIP basically represents two things, 1) 18 years of me doing comedy, and 2) How much I haven’t grown in that time.β
Along with performing standup, Braunger has appeared on a host of shows including The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, Conan and Comedy Central Presents. He’s also made appearances in Showtime’s I’m Dying Up Here, ABC’s Agent Carter and Netflix’ nostalgic sequel series Fuller House. Fans can keep up with Braunger on his website or through his podcast Advice From A Dipsh*t with Matt Braunger.
