Roy Wood Jr.: No One Loves You on Comedy Central

Comedy Central has just announced more details surrounding Roy Wood Jr.‘s new stand-up special, No One Loves You, set to debut on Jan. 25. The special will be part of a dual release, which will also see the digital album come out that same day.

Roy Wood Jr.: No One Loves You is the latest from Comedy Central’s new 360 content universe surrounding the network’s “Stand-Up Month.” Wood’s new hour-long was filmed at Chicago’s Vic Theatre back on June 30, 2018 and marks the comedian’s followup to 2017’s Father Figure. Among the many topics covered in the upcoming special are national anthem protests, the #MeToo movement and the plight of the black superhero.

Bundled with the special and album are exclusive linear and digital companion content custom tailored for Roy Wood Jr.: No One Loves You, including two original sketches further exploring on themes from the stage. The two sketches — “Snitch Cop” and “The Avenging Ones” — are introduced by clips from the special leading into the scripted short-form originals.

Roy Wood Jr. can be seen in his regular role as a correspondent for The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. He is also the host of CC’s This Is Not Happening, the popular storytelling series which is slated to launch its fifth season in February.
