Trey Anastasio’s new group Ghosts of the Forest has just dropped their self-titled album’s new lead single. The psychedelic title track can be heard above.
Word of Anastasio’s new GOTF project spread quickly across the internet back in December of last year after the Phish frontman teased the new group via his Instagram. The band’s lineup includes Phish drummer Jon Fishman, vocalist & multi-instrumentalist Celisse Henderson and Trey Anastasio Band members Jennifer Hartswick, Ray Paczkowski and Tony Markellis.
GOTF’s debut album was recorded in April 2018 at The Barn in Vermont with engineering and mixing from Vance Powell (Jack White). The LP, which Anastasio recently told Rolling Stone was inspired by his childhood friend Chris “CCott” Cottrell, who recently died of cancer, comes out Friday, April 12.
