Saturday Night Live alum Jenny Slate has just announced her first comedy special. The comedian and actress’ debut hour-long, Stage Fright, will premiere on Netflix next month.

Slate announced the debut of Stage Fright on social media earlier this week, sharing a few details about the special in an Instagram post (which can be seen below).

As noted in the above Instagram post, Slate’s special will be “part stand-up, part documentary,” the latter giving viewers a closer look at the comedian’s off-stage life.

According to Deadline, the one-hour will include clips of Slate’s childhood as well as interviews with family. Slate will also reportedly talk midnight Catholic Mass, ghosts in her childhood home and, as the title suggests, her ongoing battle with stage fright.

Since her brief stint on SNL, Slate has appeared in small screen series’ including Lady Dynamite, Hello Ladies, Parks and Recreation and Girls, and has voiced characters in a slew of animated projects including Bob’s Burgers, Despicable Me 3, The Secret Lives of Pets and Big Mouth.

Jenny Slate: Stage Fright was written by Slate and helmed by Obvious Child director Gillian Robespierre. Stream the special exclusively on Netflix beginning Oct. 22, 2019.
