Prolific as ever, Beck is gearing up for the release of his fourteenth studio album Hyperspace by sharing another new track off the highly-anticipated LP.
“Dark Places” finds the Grammy-winner contemplative and content to linger in the haze of an ended relationship. The track’s accompanying lyric video – by Eddie Obrand – follows a young woman driving in solitude across a presumably crowded city as Beck sings, “Time moves on and on and love, it goes / Now she’s gone and all I see are shadows.”
The song follows the release of “Uneventful Days” as well as “Saw Lightning,” the latter of which was co-written by Beck and Pharrell Williams who co-produced several songs off the forthcoming album. All three tracks, as well as “Hyperlife,” are included with all pre-orders of Hyperspace which will drop via Capitol Records on Nov. 22.
