Arcade Fire have just shared another clip from their upcoming double-disc DVD Live At Earls Court. Check out the above music video for “The Suburbs” and get ready for the release of their highly-anticipated compilation, which will also include the feature film The Reflektor Tapes, expected later this month.
The above live rendition of “The Suburbs” clocks in just shy of seven minutes, thanks to a touching extended bit, capped off with a massive, all-inclusive crowd sing-along. The catchy fan favorite, from the band’s 2010 critically-acclaimed album of the same name, is the second release from their forthcoming Live At Earls Court. Last December, in conjunction with the announcement of Live At Earls Court / The Reflektor Tapes, the group shared this epic clip of “Reflektor, the title song from their 2013 album.
Live At Earls Court will make up the concert film portion of Arcade Fire’s soon-to-be-released DVD set, showcasing the band’s London performance from 2014. The second disc, The Reflektor Tapes directed by Kahlil Joseph, is a full-length documentary film from 2015, containing both live concert bits as well as some footage from a trip the group took to Haiti.
Live At Earls Court / The Reflektor Tapes is only one of a number of exciting things on Arcade Fire’s 2017 docket. Per Arcade Fire Tube, AF drummer Jeremy Gara — in speaking with Red Bull Poland — confirmed the group had officially finished recording their fifth studio album, noting it would likely come out sometime later this year. He also mentioned the possibility of a supporting tour. “From my perspective,” said Gara, “it looks like the Arcade Fire [tour] begins in April and ends somewhere around April 2019.”
Live At Earls Court / The Reflektor Tapes will begin shipping Jan. 27. Pre-order it now on DVD and Blu-ray here.
