Gregg-heads and DKR fans rejoice as everyone’s favorite movie review show, On Cinema at the Cinema, is returning for its 12th season on Oct. 6, 2021.
Episode one will be made widely available, and all subsequent episodes will be available exclusively through HEI Network, an independently run website for all things On Cinema. The subscription service – launched by On Cinema host Tim Heidecker and frequent guest Gregg Turkington in 2020 – grants fans access to future On Cinema outings, exclusive stories and more.
Heidecker, the President and CEO of HEI Network, shared the good news in a special Season 12 announcement video. Along with revealing details about the new season, he also introduced fans to HEI Points “an easy way to build value and show your loyalty to the HEI Network.”
“HEI Points will soon become the dominant form of currency as we look forward towards a cash-free future,” said Heidecker in the video.
Some questions remain as to the real value of these HEI Points as Turkington has referred to the currency as “imaginary money you can’t buy anything with,” on Twitter. He also claimed the 50,000 points promised to subscribers to be worth less than a kernel of popcorn.
