It’s Independent Venue Week and Chicago Independent Venue League (CIVL) members are hosting a variety of programs on July 11-17, 2022.
On Thursday, July 14 CIVL’s Free Concert at Millennium Park is set to return with performances from Ric Wilson, Tasha and Mario Abney & The Abney Effect Brass Band.
“For the second year in a row, Chicago Independent Venue League, in partnership with DCASE, is proud to present some of Chicago’s most promising artists. This summer’s showcase is just a sliver of the talent that music lovers can see every night of the week at one of more than 50 independent live music venues in Chicago,” said Matt Woodburn, organizer and co-owner of The Chop Shop.
Head over to Jay Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 14 to see Ric Wilson, Tasha and Mario Abney & The Abney Effect Brass Band perform the Free Concert and check out a full list of CIVL members participating in Independent Venue Week below.
