Back in January, the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival announced its 2017 lineup, with headliners the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Weeknd and U2 topping the bill. Now we know who is set to play and when as the Manchester, TN festival has just announced its daily lineup.
Per the usual, Thursday is light on names with G Jones, The Orwells, Herobust and Goldfish (among others) set to take the stage throughout the course of the night. Friday, when the festival begins for most Bonnaroovians making the trek out to The Farm, will see U2 take the main stage for the first time in Roo history. The day will also see sets from Major Lazer, The XX, Big Gigantic, Glass Animals, Tove Lo, Portugal. The Man, Cold War Kids and more.
Among those performing Saturday are Bonnaroo vets Red Hot Chili Peppers as well as Chance The Rapper, Cage The Elephant, Flume, Future Islands, Tegan & Sara, the Superjam and Lukas Nelson & The Promise Of The Real.
Bonnaroo — whose recent festival closers include Dead & Company (2016), Billy Joel (2015), Elton John (2014) and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (2013) — appears to be changing gears from its traditional rock-centric Sunday finish with what looks like a festival-closing set by The Weeknd. Other Day 4 performers include Lorde, Travis Scott, Crystal Castles, Umphrey’s McGee, Milky Chance, Ed Helms’ Bluegrass Situation Superjam and more.
Bonnaroo 2017 takes place June 8-11. Have a look at the complete daily lineup below and check out the full Bonnaroo comedy offering, topped by Hannibal Buress, Natasha Leggero and Moshe Kasher, here.
