Also bringing the laughs to the 2017 comedy leg of SXSW are Doug Benson, Big Jay Oakerson, Whitney Cummings, Dan Harmon, Chris Hardwick, Wyatt Cenac, Scott Aukerman, Doug Stanhope, Wanda Sykes, Tom Lennon, Horatio Sanz, Nicole Byer, Sasheer Zamata, Nick Swardson, Nate Bargatze, Joe DeRosa, Matt Walsh, Nick Thune, Robert Kelly, Jason Mantzoukas, Jessica McKenna, Nicole Byer and many more.
The SXSW Comedy Festival will kick things off on Day 1 with Hardwick doing a live edition of @midnight featuring Lennon, Cummings and Swardson. Harmon will return with special guests to perform his improvisational Seeso hit HarmonQuest while Cenac’s Night Train will appear for the first time. Oakerson also promises to bring the crowd work with the return of What’s Your F@%king Deal?
Ian Black is expected to host a charitable comedy and music event called Audible Impact while podcasts Comedy Bang! Bang! and improv4humans will feature live tapings. Walsh will join Veep cast mates Anna Chlumsky, David Mandel, Gary Cole, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Reid Scott, Sam Richardson, Timothy Simons, and Tony Hale for a comedy session of sorts and Gillian Jacobs & Phoebe Robinson will host a panel on body positivity in comedy.
SXSW, which promises more announcements in the coming weeks, will go down March 10-19. Have a look at the complete festival line-up here.
