Delmark Records is set to continue its year of celebration in honor of 70 years of music with its Rockwell Blues & Jazz Street Stroll on Aug. 26 from 3-9 p.m.
The event is hosted by Burning Bush Brewery (4014 N. Rockwell St. Chicago, IL 60618) and features a headlining performance by the Delmark All-Star Blues Band: Legends of Chicago Blues featuring Demetria Taylor, Willie Buck, Dave Specter, Ken Saydak, Larry Williams and Big Ray Stewart. The Paul Giallorenzo Trio, and Joey J. Saye will also be on hand.
“We’re honored to have Delmark as our neighbors down the block. The blues and jazz culture in this city runs deep and Delmark is a huge part of the reason why,” said Brent Raska, founder and head brewer, Burning Bush Brewery. “We’re excited to host the annual Blues and Jazz Street Stroll again this year. Live music has been a part of our culture since we opened in 2020, and this event has been a big part of our summer, combing delicious beer, amazing music and beautiful views of the Chicago River and Horner Park.”
Delmark Records has also commemorated its 70th anniversary with a new anthology available now on CD, LP, and digital. Evanston’s SPACE will also host another celebration featuring Dave Specter and an all-star band on Sept. 20.
