September is almost here and the month promises a great selection of shows in Chicago. At the top of the list is Poppy’s Sept. 8 performance at The Vic where she is playing a show dubbed “Godless in Chicago” with support from Pom Pom Squad.
As the first ever solo female artist to be nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal Performance, Poppy is known for her dark pop, industrial sounds. Her forthcoming album, Zig, is set to be released on Sumerian Records on Oct. 27 so The Vic show may give fans a sneak peak at new music like the album’s lead single, “Knockoff.”
Poppy is currently performing across the country on The Godless/Goddess Tour with PVRIS through Sept. 15.
